Lynn Fuhr - Line Producer 

Lynn is a line producer and business affairs consultant with more than 25 years experience in more than 150 hours of documentary productions. Her slate of films includes a wide variety of documentary subjects - natural history is of particular interest.

 

As a line producer, Lynn combines her production management experience with her extensive film and television business affairs background directly relating to production, particularly legal and finance, managing multi-million dollar production budgets. She has extensive experience drafting production budgets, developing financial structures, funding applications and tax credit administration, interim financing and contract negotiations. She regularly handles production insurance along with archival clearances, music legal and other E&O related areas.

 

In her past role as a production manager, Lynn dispatched production teams around the world, including Canada, United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, Brazil, China, India, Kenya, Uganda, New Zealand and Australia. She has managed film crews varying in size from 5 to 50 as well as multiple crews filming in different locations at the same time and understands the complicated logistics of international travel for film crews. Lynn often draws from this ground level experience to draft accurate budgets and project costs for realistic cashflows.

 

Lynn is a strong proponent of Cancon, and while she chooses to highlight Canadian talent and production teams whenever possible, she welcomes collaboration from diverse production partners globally. She has been involved with Telefilm’s official treaty co-pro process and understands the complexities involving two or more international production partners.

 

In her personal life, Lynn is an avid outdoors enthusiast who enjoys hiking, cycling and distance running with her family. She is an advocate for outdoor education as a foundation for developing an appreciation and respect for our natural world especially for children in urban environments.
