Matthew is a documentary cinematographer and director, focusing on nature, wildlife, and exploration. His work aims to document and illustrate remote subjects through compelling and powerful imagery. On each project he employs a consciousness and sensitivity to ensure integrity and authenticity to each story being told.

 

Matt brings a strong foundation of both the conceptual and technical aspects of the visual medium. His passion for optical exploration has led him to innovative and experimental film techniques and integrate these skills to both small and large scale films. His in-depth knowledge of the full production process allows him to formulate and visualize the image and carry it through post-production. Matthew’s film work has been featured on the National Geographic, Smithsonian, Discovery, CBC, CNN, and ARTE.
